FOOD: Feed Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum live foods and small fish

DISTRIBUTION: This species comes from Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, Surinam

AQUARIUM CARE: Tiger shovelnoses are a very large fish, and not really suitable for the home aquarium. They can reach a metre long in the wild, and eat anything that they can fit in their mouths. In public aquariums, they are well suited to an Amazon tank with larger species, red tailed catfish, arowana, and pacu.
